Dear friends of music and art,

the Musikstudio and Gallery: Gabriele Paqué is celebrating its 15th anniversary! Gabriele Paqué was founded in 2009 with the then revolutionary idea of offering adults from working age to senior citizens the opportunity to realise their dream of playing the piano. For a long time, the saying was: “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks”, but this antiquated view has now given way to the scientifically based understanding that learning to play a musical instrument in old age is not only possible, but also stops the mental ageing process and promotes cognitive health. And as making music together plays a key role both in lessons and among the pupils, good friendships have developed and even study trips to Amsterdam or even Taiwan are experiences that people look back on with pleasure.

In addition to the intellectual component, the spiritual component also plays a key role in the success of this institution. This is of course reflected in the music itself, which is not only practised in lessons, but is also regularly performed by internationally renowned musicians at concerts – as will be the case again today! With an average of 12 concerts per year, around 180 events have already taken place with musicians from all over the world.

Art forms the third pillar of this company. Since its foundation, three to four exhibitions have taken place on the premises every year, so that we can now look back on more than 50 vernissages with almost as many different artists of national and international origin, some of whom are now also represented throughout Germany. In this context, we would also like to draw your attention once again to the wonderful exhibition of Georgian artists that currently adorns the premises of our gallery.

To mark the anniversary, all these achievements should of course be duly celebrated and so we invite you to a whole series of concerts on this day. Pupils of Gabriele Paqué and Gotthard Kladetzky will be performing in various constellations. The musical highlight will be a double concert by pianists Gotthard Kladetzky and Georgy Voylochnikov, who also teach children and young people as well as young adults on these premises, and clarinettist Lisa Shklyaver, who will perform a duet with Georgy Voylochnikov. The programme includes works by composers Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Liszt, Frédéric Chopin, Johannes Brahms and Robert Schumann.

This anniversary event will of course be accompanied by speeches from Gabriele Paqué, her son Johannes Paqué, Gotthard Kladetzky in his capacity as Chairman of the DTKV Bonn/Rhein-Sieg and a student of Gabriele Paqué, who has remained loyal to the music studio for more than 10 years.

The entire event is free of charge. Please use the ticket reservation form, as otherwise we cannot guarantee seats!
