Dear music lovers,

It is a great pleasure for us to introduce the two pianists Nino Matcharashvili and Guri Chitaishvili, who will accompany the finissage of their Georgian compatriots with their musical performance.

Nino Matcharashvili is an experienced music teacher who has worked at various educational institutions. In addition to her teaching activities, she can look back on an impressive career as a pianist. Since 1990, she has regularly given solo and chamber music concerts in various countries such as Georgia, Greece and Germany, where she has thrilled audiences with her outstanding playing. She developed her musical skills at the Cologne University of Music and Dance, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Elementary Music Education, specialising in piano. Her talent and commitment are reflected in her numerous successes at national and international competitions, including the National Competition for Young Pianists in Tbilisi/Georgia in July 2001 and the International Music Competition in Vicenza/Italy in August 2000.

With a Master of Music in piano and many years of experience as a solo and orchestral pianist as well as in piano pedagogy and chamber music, Guri Chitaishvili can look back on a varied career. He has been running a private piano studio in Brühl since 2019 and has been teaching at the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School in Bonn since 2015. Guri studied at the Cologne University of Music and Dance from 2007 to 2013, where he graduated with a master’s degree and a diploma. Prior to this, he received his musical training in Ukraine. Guri gained practical experience through internships at various music schools and conservatories and by taking part in masterclasses with renowned professors. He has won prizes at international competitions such as the Prix d’Amadèo de Piano and the Lions “Jugend spielt Klassik” competition. His concert activities have taken him to the Ukraine, Georgia, Greece, Italy, France and Germany. He received his basic musical training in Georgia, where he also completed his studies.
