“A magician of the keyboard”, so expressed the Wiener Zeitung, after the release of her first solo album, dedicated to the works of Enrique Granados.

Nominated in the Soloist Album category for Opus Klassik 2020, as well as Young Talent in 2023, Myriam Barbaux-Cohen exposes with this recording all the sound palette of which she has the secret. This album dotted with little-played pieces is a perfect medium to express her talent as a storyteller, but also as a technician. Peerless. Crescendo Magazine writes: “a delicacy and an intimacy, a potential for virtuosity which, although present, do not aim for showoff. We hope for another testament to his fine art. “

Myriam obtained 1st Prize in chamber music  and piano at the Gennevilliers Conservatory, then continued her studies musical studies in Paris with Muza Rubackyte  at the Serge Rachmaninov Russian Conservatory, where she obtained her diploma in concert with very good honors and congratulations from the jury. She then joined the ICPA (International Certificate) program Piano Artist) where she performs under the direction of Nelson Delle-Vigne, Philippe Entremont, and with the advice of pianists like Michel Beroff.

Her talent convinced the C. Bechstein brand to sponsor her for a first album recorded with the Ars label. Production published in 2020, dedicated to the piano music of Enrique Granados. Its success with critics and audience encouraged them to work again on an original project dedicated to the works of French composer Mel Bonis.

The album was released in September 2022, and has since received unanimous critical success, including 2 Opus Klassik 2023 nominations, 4 Classica stars, 5 Diapasons…Underlining the accuracy of the interpretation and the choice of pieces.

Myriam was invited to play to present it on the show Génération France Musique live and in public with Clément Rochefort.
