PIANO LESSONS FOR CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS

Since the founding of the Musikstudio und Galerie in 2009 on Blücherstraße 14, Bonn-Poppelsdorf, my work has been centered on teaching adults. Now, the new possibility has come for children and teenagers to achieve a high level of musical education on the piano as well. My teachers, who I personally chose for this program, are specialists in their line of art and also feel at home on the concert stage.
Piano lessons for children
A specialized concept of music education introduces children to the piano in a playful style. Fun and enjoyment through music combined with concentrated learning is the main focus of the piano lessons. The individual and relaxed handling of your child will enable the discovery of hidden talents and capabilities from within, all while being immersed into the many different époques of music.
In a relaxed and concentrated atmosphere, your child will gain, through music, the confidence and self-esteem required to express themselves naturally. Little and ambitious goals such as giving concerts or participating in competitions can be formulated in the course of the piano education and will be targeted during the lessons and special workshops.
It is especially important for me and my teachers that your child will be promoted and fostered musically, so that their music education will be a part of their life’s fondest memories.
In order to accomplish this it is also important to have a good collaboration with parents, especially as a support for your child at home. As parents, it is extremely important to be aware of the numerous positive effects that music can have on your child. It has already been proven scientifically that children will generally be able to work more concentrated as well as have better memory capability. Music also has a positive effect on the psyche and soul of your child, which is a lifelong enrichment. In order to give your child the opportunity to find some orientation in the world of classical music, all students under 18 years get free access to all events and concerts in the music studio!
Special support for gifted and high talented pupils!
Should your child turn out to be especially talented in music, a special program can be developed for your child in coordination with the child and its parents.
Piano lessons for teenagers
The lessons with teenagers are strongly oriented on the individual preferences of the pupil, so that the joy of playing the instrument is at the center of the education. Other musical aspects such as technique, music theory and handling the different music genres will of course also be focused on.
Teenagers will be promoted as well through special programs, e.g. through concerts at the music studio and other locations in NRW as well which, for example, prepares them for studies at a music college.
A preparation for competitions such as “Jugend musiziert” (youths play music), the entrance examination for the Precollege Studies (for teenagers from 12 years old) as well as the common entrance examination for the music college of cologne (Musikhochschule für Tanz und Musik Köln) are naturally focused upon. A strong collaboration with the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz (music college) in Cologne and the Musikstudio und Galerie has already been established for some years now. In the Musikstudio und Galerie, we also offer music theory courses like harmony teaching and ear training.
