Dear music and art lovers,
We are delighted to introduce two young talents to you. The Ukrainian violinist Sofiia Plakhtsinska, a recipient of numerous international awards and a regular on the prestigious stages of Europe and Asia, captivates audiences with her virtuosic brilliance and musical depth. At her side shines the Azerbaijani pianist Fatima Aliyeva, a prize-winner at numerous competitions and a sought-after soloist at international festivals. Together, the two young musicians present a programme entitled “Colours of the Soul”, about which they write:
Do souls have colour? Does colour have a soul? What does a person feel when they experience timbre?
Artists of every era have spent their lives exploring these sensitive questions. Despite the fashions of each age, they have – across the boundaries of style and genre – given free rein to their very personal emotions in order to share these personal messages with us in intimate musical letters.
Sofiia Plakhtsinska (violin) and Fatima Aliyeva (piano) will sensitively decipher these intimate musical letters for us. Experience these two outstanding young musicians performing a varied programme, both as powerful soloists and as a duo, featuring works by Niccolò Paganini, Ludwig van Beethoven, Carlos Gardel and many others!
You can find the biographies of the two musicians below.
